Aniceto Zaragoza, is P.h.d Civil Engineer (Madrid Polytechnic University). He also has a Degree in Economics and Business Administration a Degree in History and a Degree in Politicis by UNED University. It is Transport Professor at Madrid Polytechnic University.
Nowadays and during the last 18 years, he has been the General Manager of Oficemen, the Spanish Cement Association (Oficemen). All the firms devoted to the production of cement that have manufacturing plants in Spain form part of Oficemen.
As well, since 2012 he has been the General Secretary of Ieca, The Spanish Institute of Cement and its Applications. IECA is a private technical institute dedicated to the study and dissemination of knowledge and technologies related to cement and its derived products: concrete, mortars, and other applications. One of its main objectives is the rationalization and standardization of products.
He is the President of The Spanish Concrete Technology Platform, a private initiative of ANDECE (National Association of the Precast Concrete Industry), ANEFHOP (National Association of Prepared Concrete Manufacturers), ANFAH (National Association of Concrete Additive Manufacturers), FdA (Federation of Aggregates), IECA (Spanish Institute of Cement and its Applications) and OFICEMEN (Association of Cement Manufacturers of Spain) which aims to disseminate concrete technology, the characteristics of this material and its evolution to satisfy the demand social and regulatory requirements, as well as, and especially, defining the strategic research agenda necessary for this.
Also, he is the General Secretary of Labour Foundation for Cement and the Environment (CEMA), a pioneering Foundation in the European cement industry in which employers and unions work together for the sustainability of the sector. He is President of the Committee of Transport of the Spanish Engineering Institute, Vice-president of Industry and Energy of CEOE, The Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, and member of the Board of FICEM, The Inter-American Cement Federation.
