
Sumit Srivastava is a Technical Program Manager at CRHās Innovation Center for Sustainable Construction (iCSC), where he works on the development and industrial implementation of low-carbon cement and concrete technologies. Over more than a decade, his work has spanned cementitious materials, circular mineral resources, and emerging approaches for reducing the carbon and resource intensity of construction materials.Ā
Sumit completed his pre-doctoral and doctoral research in Belgium, USA, and India; he subsequently worked in Finland and Sweden in roles combining fundamental research, applied R&D, and industry-facing technology development before joining CRH.Ā
His work has covered technology development, technical assessment, and the translation of scientific concepts into practical industrial solutions. He has produced several peer-reviewed scientific publications and patents. His work involves active collaboration with universities, industrial partners, startups, and international technical organizations. Sumit has a particular interest in placing current technological developments in cement and materials science in the context of the historical technical and industrial evolution.Ā
