Juan Manuel Pereira is a concrete technologist and consultant specialized in the digital transformation of the concrete industry with an insider’s perspective, focusing on production, mix design, QA/QC, and monitoring.

J.M. has a Masters’ degree in Construction Engineering, he’s a full member of the Institute of Concrete Technology (MICT), Managing Director of Concrete Quality SL, a company with software solutions for concrete QA/QC and operations, and inventor of the CDM (Concrete Durability Monitoring) and Concrete Watcher (in-transit AI monitoring) patented monitoring systems for concrete.

J.M.’s extensive international experience spans concrete production (both ready-mix and precast), admixtures, testing laboratories, etc. With almost 20 years’ experience in the industry, he’s been managing Concrete Quality SLU for 10 years while acting as a technology consultant in Europe, the Middle East, and China.

J.M. has a unique vision on how to digitize concrete operations, being experienced both in concrete manufacture and quality control, and the development of specialized software and electronics systems; he has right expertise combination to tackle the digital transformation of the concrete industry with a “boots on the ground” approach, making the most out of new technologies in practical, innovative, and clever ways.
