Cement is undergoing a fundamental commercial evolution: from localised commodity to integrated, lower carbon product portfolios and solutions. SCMs sit at the centre of that shift. As one of the few instantly commercially viable routes to greener cement, combining efficiency with decarbonisation, they make the customer choice simple.
But that simplicity rests on real complexity: constrained supply chains, major asset investment and performance variability and a comprehensive understanding of business building and strategic partnerships. Delivering it demands leaders who bridge project, commercial, strategy and operations seamlessly, aligning global supply chains and partners around a new commercial model.
Reflecting on lessons from building SCM teams across major cement and building materials groups, and on conversations with the sector’s key decision makers, this session looks to predict the profile of cement’s future leadership, and asks whether the industry is prepared.
Delivered by Cobi Busst, Beaumont Bailey‘s Principal for Building Materials and Industrial Manufacturing, Building SCM Teams at Scale: Why Cement Needs a New Leadership Model is a must attend session!
