Thierry Delvaux was born in Liège on April 20th, 1961. He has a master degree of Civil Engineer (Mining) from the University of Liège (1985).

Between 1985 and 1988, he worked at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Liège as a Research Engineer.

Thierry Delvaux joined MAC Valves Europe, Inc. in 1988 as a salesman for Belgium and Luxemburg. He was promoted European Sales Manager in 1990 and became General Manager in 1992.

In 1988, the company had a turnover of € 4.5 million and employed 28 people. From component manufacturer, the company evolved to the supply of integrated solutions, and later to the development of advanced bespoke solutions including high-end machined valve bar manifolds.
In the past decade, MAC Valves successfully introduced a patented valve technology able to reduce energy consumption on Dust Collectors: the Pulse Valves

This evolution of the products supplied by MAC Valves is highly appreciated by European customers, as the level of orders has reached € 72.5 million in 2021. The employment rate has also been constantly increasing, as we now have 96 employees.
MAC Valves group invests frequently in the Liege plant: the building surface has undergone an 80% extension in 2019 with the installation of 660 solar panels to make the facility self-sufficient in energy. For 2024-2025, the Liège factory will commission a robotic assembly line and equipment to manufacture in Belgium proprietary valve internal components.
