Shashank Bishnoi is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Vice Provost of IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus. He holds a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur, a master’s from the University of Tokyo, and a Ph.D. from EPFL, Switzerland, where he focused on modeling cement hydration. He conducted postdoctoral research at EPFL and Laval University, Canada, before joining IIT Delhi. He has over 100 journal and 160 conference publications, in the area of cement and concrete technology. He has led over 400 industry and government-sponsored research and consulting projects. He is the India lead for the development of Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3) and drafted the LC3 standard IC18189 adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Prof. Bishnoi is a member of and also chairs key BIS and ISO committees and serves on editorial boards of leading journals in cement and concrete technology like Cement and Concrete Research, Advances in Cement Research and RILEM Technical Letters.
