With nearly two decades of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Shannon Truax-Wardell, CRSP, serves as Vice President
of Safety & Health for East Operations at CRH Americas Materials.

In this role, she drives strategic initiatives that prioritize not only operational safety but also organizational culture and employee
well-being. An expert in psychological safety and a passionate advocate for culture change, Shannon focuses on building environments where employees feel valued, empowered, and supported—embedding safety into both operations and mindset. In addition to her executive role, she serves on the CRH Culture and Engagement Council, where she helps shape initiatives that strengthen workplace culture across the organization.

Shannon is also a vocal advocate for women in the construction industry, working to inspire inclusion, mentorship, and pathways for female leadership in a historically male-dominated field.

Before her current position, Shannon led transformative safety programs across CRH Canada Group Inc. and Ash Grove Cement
(North), overseeing safety in construction, cement, and materials sectors. Her career path has given her a strong technical
foundation and operational insight.

A graduate of Georgian College with a Diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology, Shannon combines technical expertise
with visionary leadership. Shannon continues to champion a people-first approach to safety, aligning operational excellence with a culture of trust, respect, inclusion, and well-being.
