Joel Maia graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Sao Paulo University in Brazil with an emphasis in thermofluid dynamics in 2002. In 2015 he finished his Master Degree in Business Administration in a double degree program between the Business School of Vienna – Austria and Minnesota University – USA. For the past 22 years, Joel has been working with combustion, especially in the cement, lime and minerals industries, and has executed projects in more than 60 different countries. Joel has worked in different positions throughout those years and currently he is the CEO of FCT Combustion in their European Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
