Isabel Garro

Isabel Garro is the Chief Sustainability Officer – EMEA of Votorantim Cimentos EAA

Isabel Garro is a highly respected authority in sustainable development. Her extensive experience in this field has led her to co-lead Spain’s commitments in this area, from the front line of the main competent bodies, as Special Advisor to the High Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda in the Presidency of the Government of Spain, or as Executive Director of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact for 14 years. As one of the great specialists of the national scene in Sustainability, Isabel has held top-level responsibilities as the Spanish representative in this field before the Council of the European Union and as advisor to Transparency International Spain and to the Ethics Council of Auchan Spain.

Isabel Garro holds a dual MBA degree from Brown University and IE Business School, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Comillas-ICADE University (Madrid) and an Executive Education degree in Strategic Management and Leadership from IESE Business School.
