Gabriela Constantin

Gabriela Constantin is the Transition Project Manager at the Climate Bonds Initiative. She leads efforts to align heavy industry and energy systems with a 1.5°C pathway, with a strong focus on transition finance and credible, science-based decarbonisation plans.

Her current work also includes managing a global programme on methane abatement finance, where she coordinates policy research, stakeholder engagement, and innovative financing strategies across agriculture, energy, and waste.

She serves on the Technical Working Group of the European Network for Fostering Energy Geostructures and sits on the Advisory Board of the EnTRAINER project, which enhances industrial energy audits in Central and Southern Europe.

Before joining the Climate Bonds Initiative, Gabriela served as a Senior Advisor for EEA and Norway Grants programs in the CEN region, with a focus on the Energy Programme in Romania. Prior to that, she oversaw the implementation of significant infrastructure programs in Romania through EU grant schemes.

Gabriela’s skill set is multifaceted, covering sustainable development, strategic planning, and transition finance frameworks. Her expertise extends to transition planning, with a wealth of experience in sustainable development, bilateral cooperation, and environmental sustainability.
