Femi Akinrebiyo is the Global Manager for Manufacturing and Trade Supplier Finance (GTSF) at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) based in Washington, DC. Femi has over 20-years’ experience managing teams and resources to design, structure and implement complex transactions that support sustainable development in emerging markets. In his current role, he leads a team overseeing more than $4.5 billion annual investments in manufacturing and trade supplier finance across a diverse range of industries, including cement, steel, and glass manufacturing. Femi is responsible for the development and implementation of IFC’s Manufacturing interventions focusing on decarbonization solutions, strengthening supply chain and development of regional manufacturing clusters. Prior to his current role, Femi was IFC’s Global Manager for Upstream in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services Department where he led a core team of about 100 professionals in successfully shaping the vision for operationalizing the upstream business model and played a lead role in the organizational design, strategy, and staffing plan for IFC’s approach to creating markets. Before joining IFC, Femi worked for ExxonMobil as a Project Engineer, and with other multinational companies, including Philips Projects and Spar Aerospace. Femi holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, USA.
