Dr. Thomas Schroder

Dr. Thomas Schroder has 20+ years of international experience in climate action. He is EDF Trading’s Head of Environmental Products, responsible for the trading of different environmental attribute certificates, such as carbon credits, renewable energy certificates, biomethane certificates, and nuclear guarantees of origin. He is based in London.

Prior to this, he spent close to a decade with carbon industry leader South Pole, first as Global Director Marketing and then establishing the company’s Australian operations. Tom has worked across the whole carbon value chain, generating supply via the development of new carbon and biodiversity projects in the Australian land sector, as well as selling carbon credits, renewable energy certificates and advising corporate clients on their climate strategy. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
