NRMCA Announces Appointment of Jim Riley as President and CEO

On Wednesday, May 27, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) announced the appointment of Jim Riley as President and CEO, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the Association and the ready mixed concrete industry. Jim will officially assume the role on June 15, 2026. NRMCA extends its sincere appreciation to Interim President Joe Roche for his leadership and steady guidance during the search process and leadership transition.

Jim brings more than two decades of executive leadership and advocacy experience across trade associations and construction materials-related industries, including on behalf of transportation, aggregates, recycling, and infrastructure interests. Prior to joining NRMCA, Jim served as the President of the Railway Supply Institute and held senior leadership positions with the National Waste & Recycling Association and the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association.

Throughout his career, Jim has built a reputation as a respected industry advocate, strategic leader, and collaborative executive with deep expertise in governance, membership engagement, infrastructure policy, sustainability, and federal advocacy. He has been recognized multiple times by The Hill as a Top Lobbyist and led the team that received the ASAE Summit Award for Advocacy.

“NRMCA is entering this next chapter from a position of strength, and we are thrilled to welcome Jim as our next President and CEO,” said Scott Brewer, Chair of the NRMCA Board of Directors. “He brings exceptional leadership experience, strategic insight, and a strong understanding of the industries and policy environments that shape our future. The Board is confident he will build on the Association’s strong momentum, execute NRMCA’s strategic priorities, strengthen member value, and help position the ready mixed concrete industry for long-term growth and success.”

As President and CEO, Jim will lead the execution of NRMCA’s strategic plan with a strong focus on driving member value, strengthening engagement, and advancing the Association’s impact across the industry.

“I am honored to join NRMCA and serve an industry that plays such a critical role in building America’s infrastructure and communities,” said Jim. “NRMCA has a strong foundation, a clear strategic vision, and an outstanding reputation across the construction and materials sectors. I look forward to partnering with the Board, staff, members, and state affiliates to advance the industry’s priorities, strengthen the Association’s impact, and help drive innovation, sustainability, and growth across the ready mixed concrete industry.”

The appointment comes at an optimistic time for NRMCA. The Association recently adopted a strategic plan, continues to demonstrate strong financial performance, and has experienced growing member engagement.
