The Cementitious Materials International Congress EMEA to be held on June 3-4 in Cairo, Egypt welcomes the presentation on Decarbonisation Technologies and Solutions held by Dr. Thomas Schmitz, Director Business Development & Sales, Green Advisory at thyssenkrupp Polysius.
An overview over cutting-edge decarbonization technologies and solutions developed by thyssenkrupp Polysius will be given, highlighting tailored solutions that support the cement industry’s transition toward a low-carbon future, demonstrating how these technologies contribute to meeting global climate targets and improving production efficiency.
The main levers for decarbonization are defined, their potential in decarbonization quantified and examples discussed. Dr. Schmitz will introduce technologies to maximize share of alternative fuels as well as solutions to reduce clinker factor. Focus will be laid on MecaClay, a technology to produce Activated Clay without any carbon emissions. Finally, the presentation will emphasize the advantages of Pure Oxyfuel technology on the path of clinker production to Net Zero emissions.
