CCAA Launches New Concrete Rating Guide
Cement, Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA) has launched a new Interpretation and Application Guide to support the practical and consistent use of the Australian adoption of the Global Ratings for Low Carbon and Near Zero Concrete.
Launched during a CCAA webinar this week, the Guide builds on Australia’s adoption of the Global Ratings in December 2025 and provides practical guidance for industry, government, specifiers and project teams applying the Rating System across construction and infrastructure projects.
The Guide covers early engagement with concrete suppliers, setting appropriate ratings for different applications, recognising regional variations in materials and supply, and integrating ratings into procurement alongside other project requirements.
It also provides guidance on the use of third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and includes worked case studies demonstrating how the Rating System can be applied across different concrete elements and projects.
The Guide, webinar recording and presentation slides are now available online.
